Hi there — I’m Carolyn Morse, the maker behind Second Nature. This little online shop was born from the beautiful combo of curiosity and creative restlessness.

As a hobbyist oil painter, I was always feeling like I wanted to paint more, but I felt daunted by the whole ritual of beginning a new painting — the setup, the pressure of a large piece. After I came across various artists customizing clothing with unique embroidery designs and pen drawings, I was inspired to bring my style of painting to a new medium. Mini paintings, in acrylic, on clothes – one-of-a-kind art pieces you can wear everyday out in the world.

All of my paintings are inspired by scenes and objects from nature, because we all benefit when we’re more connected to it.
